The average person spends almost 100,000 hours at work during their lifetime. That much time and commitment to a career should merit a celebration come time for retirement. Friends and longtime co-workers gathered for this vibrant, backyard Caribbean Bon Voyage.
Up lighting, chandeliers, glowing tables, and tea light centerpieces gave the event two completely different experiences: clean, all-white by day and colorful Caribbean by night.
The event design had an all white theme base with a Bermuda Blue accent, a perfect scheme for the warm, summertime weather.
The modular venue layout had three main areas. A dancing, dining and bar area consisted of a dance floor under a clear top canopy lined with string lights and a chandelier surrounded by LED cocktail tables and seating.
The lounge area was created with an extra long, custom sectional sofa accented with plush, colorful pillows, white coffee tables, and white spandex wrapped bistro tables; all under crisp, white swagging and a second chandelier. A slide show with photos highlighting the guest of honor played on an LED flat screen TV for guests to enjoy while listening to soothing Calypso.
Tiered below the lounge vignette was the catering area, more lounge ottomans to relax on, and additional seating.
Tall, cylindrical vases filled with rocks, water immersed floral arrangements, and floating tea lights made excellent decor pieces.
With the summer heat in full effect, a white and Bermuda blue party with water based decor and a venue with plenty of foliage and a pool made for a perfect send-off occasion for a beloved coworker amid such high temperatures.
